Breakfast Is The Most Important Meal Of The Day, WHY?

The argument as to weather breakfast is the most important meal of the day will probably never end. One thing is clear,  you are better off having breakfast than skipping them for the following reasons.

CALORIES CONTROL

When you eat early before the activities of the day. You give the body time to breakdown the calories consumed in that food. As the day matures you might even become calory deficient if you have had lots of activities during the day or if you have exercised. Night food does not give the body that much time before night sleep. So breakfast helps you keep the calories in check.

SUPPLY OF GLUCOSE FOR BRAIN DEVELOPMENT

Breakfast helps you have a better memory state during the day.  This is especially true for kids with developing brains. It also aids better concentration for people who have to carry out brain work in school and at work. This is why it’s said that students who skip breakfast are more likely to fail classes or even be cranky in school.

SOURCE OF IMPORTANT NUTRIENTS.

Most of the food items used as breakfast contain very important nutrients needed by the body such as Calcium, iron, protein and B vitamins. These vitamins, if missed during breakfast would be hard to augment for them during the course of the day.

SUPPLY OF ENERGY FOR DAILY ACTIVITIES

Breakfast gives the energy you need to run your day.  As food is broken down, energy is produced for needed work.  So the need to make sure we start the day with breakfast is advised.

CONTROL OF SOME KNOWN ILLNESS

A diabetic patient is encouraged to have breakfast because it helps cut down the effects of diabetics and help reduce your exposure to becoming diabetic. Also because breakfast helps in calories control it can help control obesity too.  Blood pressure can also be checked by making sure you have breakfast.
